- Lectures
- Discussion series
- Study space
- Forums
- Socials
- Philanthropic
- Speakers
To reserve Hess Commons: View the Hess Commons calendar at: http://www.mailmanschool.org/msphcal/?site=osa at least two weeks prior to your event. The room is booked many weeks in advance so prior planning will help ensure your event takes place on a suitable day and time. Booking early will also assist with behind the scenes administrative program planning and services.
All requests for room set-up services, including audio/visual (a/v) services, must be requested by the organization or department hosting the event. The host organizations must either arrange the room to their desire on their own or submit a billable facilities request. A/V servics are no longer provided by CUMC, with the exception of academic courses. Vendors offering a/v services can be found at
http://www.cumc.columbia.edu/it/cts/av.html#av
Hours of operation: Hess is open 9am-2am daily as open CUMC student study space when an event is not scheduled on the Hess calendar. Mailman student group events and other Mailman dean's office student affiliated events take precedence and will often be scheduled events during these hours. Mailman student group events follow additional guidelines (see Student Group Handbook from the OSA) and end at 10pm at the latest.
